The ItalDesign Giugiaro Parcour is an odd car—an off-road sports car based on a Lamborghini Gallardo—with an odd name. Which means we at RIDES obviously find it pretty sweet. We love Lamborghinis; we love off-road trucks like the Ford SVT Raptor. Put ’em together, you’re bound to make something cool. And the Parcour’s made even cooler by its rarity—only one exists, and while they don’t seem to be in the market to sell it right now, we’re bettin’ ItalDesign would say it’s worth well into the seven figures.
Which makes it all the more painful (and all the more riveting) to see it crash at last weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in England. From the looks of the video, the driver came into the turn a little too hot, and he just couldn’t get the car back under control before it slid into a pile of hay bales. You wouldn’t think hay could mess up a car that badly, but as you’ll see, you’d be wrong.
Don’t worry, though—ItalDesign says they’ll fix it up and have the Parcour going again before long. Which is good, ’cause the more this ride gets seen, the more somebody might consider producing something like it. [Shout-out to YouTube!]
