Caddy: Old is the new New

Luxury brand revamps logo through classic cues

After making moves with their line and getting us overly-hyped for the CTS Coupe, Cadillac has stepped back a bit with their logo. The current logo, (below) which first showed up in the 90’s was modern, yet subdued and aimed “to combine suggestions of high technology and elegance through faceted shapes-inspired by the stealth fighter and by gemstones.”

Stealth? That whole blending in thing is over. The new logo (above) returns more texture to the wreath, beefs up the crest, and uses some lighting effects to its advantage. Looks like Caddy’s all about showing up and showing off again. Who’s gonna argue with that?
