Need For Speed Ford Mustang Will Pace NASCAR Sprint Cup

The Ford Mustang set to appear in the upcoming Need For Speed movie will be the pace car at the Ford EcoBoost 400 this year.

It wasn’t too long ago when Ford asked NASCAR to approve the Mustang as an eligible vehicle to participate in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. However, the ‘Stang is going to make a bold appearance for the final race of this year’s Sprint Cup Season.

This widebody Mustang on 22-inch Forgiato wheels is slated to be the safety car for the 2013 season finale: The Ford EcoBoost 400 on November 17 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.

This is the same Mustang appearing in the Need For Speed movie (coming out on March 14, 2014) and also in its virtual form for Need For Speed Rivals video game which hits stores on this Friday!
