At RIDES, we’re all about advancing and enhancing custom car culture. And although some are adverse to new model changes, we embrace them as they’re a sign of fresh, innovative ideas on the horizon. When the 2015 GM SUV line-up debuted last week, some scoffed at the re-design but we saw nothin’ but opportunity. We took it upon ourselves to design the first custom 2015 Tahoe, RIDES style.
The objective was to develop a custom, yet understated version of the 2015 Tahoe that could be driven everyday. More than likely, there won’t be many people turning 2015 Chevrolets into full-on show vehicles at first, so we opted to stay away from the wild side. Our 2015 Chevy Tahoe sports a matte white exterior, not only for its popularity but because it tends to accentuate body lines exceptionally well—whereas gloss tends to lose a bit of the sharp edges that the 2015 Tahoe possesses. All the trim is treated in either satin black or matte white – there isn’t a spec of chrome on the entire vehicle. Not that the factory chrome isn’t appealing, we just wanted to switch it up. We also incorporated a custom, black powder-coated grille to match the all-black headlight housings and trim. For the shoes, a set of 28-inch concave wheels make a perfect fit for this matte Tahoe, and the lowered suspension is the icing on the cake.
