Word on the streets of Detroit is, when the current Dodge Challenger’s day is up in the next year or two, it may be replaced by a screamin’-mean SRT Barracuda packing around 600 supercharged horses. But if you can’t wait that long to lay your hands on a 21st Century ‘Cuda, then check out this Dodge Concept ‘Cuda currently up for sale.
Built by Metalcrafters off a 2007 Dodge Charger SRT8, the Concept ‘Cuda was made to be as close to production-spec as possible. The new two-door body that replaces the original four-door skin is made from carbon-fiber, then outfitted with Lamborghini Pearl Orange paint. There’s a functional Shaker hood and Flowmaster mufflers for the 425 horsepower, 6.1 liter Hemi, and the car rolls on 22-inch Zenetti rims and Pirelli tires.
Much like Johnny Cash, the Dodge Concept ‘Cuda has been everywhere—including SEMA and the Playboy Mansion—but most of that life was on a trailer, as it only has 57 miles on it. So if you’re looking to add a few miles of your own to it, we suggest picking up the phone and calling Exotic Classics in Long Island, New York. We called ’em up; they’re asking $1,500,000 for it. But we bet you can talk them down. [Shout-out to Exotic Classics!]
