In a move that should have come before the Panamera itself, Porsche recently unveiled their new Sport Turismo Concept featuring next-generation hybrid technology, but more importantly, a way flyer looking Panamera. At the Paris Motor Show, Porsche took the wraps off a dope looking Panamera wagon and had us scratching our heads asking “Why isn’t that out yet?” With looks that should’ve come from the factory stock, the Sport Turismo captures the attention with a low, wide profile yet retains the Panamera’s luxury guts. As for the proposed propulsion, a 3.0L V6 plus an electric motor will boost power to 416 horsepower while still allowing you to drive in fully electric mode up to 80 mph. Not bad.
Forgoing the classic instrument panel, they’ve instead implemented a TFT display (similar to the one found on Jaguars) which should offer virtually unlimited personalization options. However, don’t expect that to show up into the Sport Turismo for a few years, and while Porsche hasn’t officially announced the building of the Sport Turismo, trust us, it’s going to be built, though maybe not officially labeled as a wagon.
This thing’s too hot to not build.
