If you copped the latest issue of RIDES Magazine, you may remember reading that Galpin Auto Sports was planning on sending their widebody 2012 Ford Mustang GT—the crimson Camaro crusher we put on the cover—to auction in order to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Well, the GAS Mustang hit the block last Friday at the annual Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, and when all was said and done, it sold for $160,000—which means St Jude’s now has an extra 160 stacks to help kids with cancer.
We wanna congratulate Galpin on auctioning such a fresh whip off for charity. Here’s hoping the new owner treats it right! And if you wanna know more about the GAS Mustang, head out and grab the latest issue of RIDES. [Shout-out to Barrett-Jackson!]
