- Restomods: Old-school looks, new-school drivetrain and reliability. What’s not to be thankful for?
- Widebodies: We prefer all-steel, but no matter what it’s made of, few things give a car more visual muscle than a couple extra inches of width. Just be careful when going through toll booths.
- Matte paint/wraps: Matte may be peaking, but we’re still always glad to see a well-executed matte exterior on a car.
- High-end Interiors: Diamond stitching, premium leathers and woods, carbon fiber – these are just some of the signs of quality guts in a car. We’re thankful to see people making their guts look as clean and classy as their whip’s exteriors.
- Painted/Powdercoated Rims: Chrome wheels are done, and we couldn’t be happier. Paint your wheels to match your whip, or coat them black or gray for an offsetting contrast.
- Air Suspension: Bless the bags, for they give us amazing stance without all the herky-jerkiness of hydraulics.
- Forced Induction: Superchargers and turbochargers alike have been popping up with increasing frequency in the last few years, in everything from Donks to new schools.
- Concave Wheels: Bow down to the bowed-in rim, as adding that third dimension makes them stand out all the more.
- Neon Paint: t’s a new trend, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be thankful for it. Kandy’s always nice, but we’re glad to see someone trying something fresh and new.
- Squattage: Achieving proper stance on a Donk is tougher than you’d think. So we’re thankful for those who squat correctly.
Traditionally, Thanksgiving is a time to see friends and family, pig out on delicious food, and watch football—but it’s also a time to give thanks for the important things in life. So for Thanksgiving this year, we’ve come up with a list of ten custom car trends that we’re thankful for right now. Check it out in the gallery above, and let us know what you’re thankful for in the comments.
