    Lucky Charms

    ’77 chevy caprice on 26s

Being a ’77 makes this Lucky Charms Caprice one of the oldest Box Chevys in the game. Now okay, it might not exactly be the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but considering its age, it’s, well, pretty damn lucky to still be on the road. Most of its ’70s brethren have already rotted away. But nope, not this Box, it was saved by a cereal…theme that is.

When the car first arrived at Mr. Scrape in Sumter, SC, it was in piss-poor shape at best, according to shop owner Mike Lee. But the nameless owner, who is rumored to be a leprechaun, had plans for it, unfortunately too many! Luckily, Mike knew how to take this Box in the right direction.

The devil is in the details with this Chevy. Since the actual Lucky Charms cereal box ain’t dripping wet, it was decided to stay authentic and go with a paint that has matte qualities. The only nod to the theme on the body is an extremely detailed trunk mural. But just like the sugar-coated shapes, the real treat is on the inside. The guts are wheat-colored and filled with marshmallows. And thanks to a two-way alarm, this anonymous owner will hopefully never be wondering, “Who stole my Lucky Charms?” W.G.
