True Bimmer fans know that the German manufacturer is known for much more on the road than sedans and coupes. The latest addition to their lineup falls into that somewhat obscure 2-wheeled category. BMW has officially revealed its new S 1000 RR superbike, boasting 193 hp at 13,000 RPM and 82.5 lb-ft of torque. At only 455.3 pounds (that’s including a full tank of gas) it’s the best power-to-weight bike available to the public.
Stylewise, the S 1000 RR is sure to turn heads, especially with its asymmetrical headlights – which diehards will also know are nothing new to the blue and white crest. Expect the bike to hit US streets in early 2010.
