With its first production model fetching $400K at Barrett-Jackson and all 2008’s allotment rumored to be spoken for, getting behind the wheel of Dodge’s all-new Challenger may be easier said than done. But if you’re willing to break the bank (and stand out), you’ll have another chance next month via eBay’s online virtual auction house.
From February 12 to February 22, Chrysler will auction off the 43rd Challenger to roll off its assembly line, painted in this gorgeous shade of P
retty Blue. Taking a symbolic approach, Challenger 43 has been designed to honor living race legend Richard Petty and the #43 he made famous while driving Mopar stock cars. Even if you’re not a NASCAR fan, keep in mind that this may be the only 2008 Challenger dipped in a color that isn’t orange, silver or black. The car also comes outfitted with carbon fiber-look hood stripes, a chrome fuel filler lid and a numbered dash plaque. The auction winner will also get a VIP Package to this May’s Dodge Challenger 500 NASCAR race at Darlington. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Petty family’s Victory Junction Gang Camp.
Got that money in the bank and can’t wait? Hit that link above and prove it- you have to be pre-qualified to bid.
