Last Friday marked the tragic passing of daredevil and American legend, Robert Craig “Evel” Knievel Jr. Though motorcycles ain’t our forte, Knievel’s connection to cars is an easy one- he jumped over who knows how many of ’em- as well as trucks, canyons, landmarks and just about anything else you can imagine… breaking just about every bone in his body over his years of doing so. 70’s and early 80’s kids out there know the man’s name was synonymous with doing anything stupid on your bike- and probably inspired more than one of y’all to get a little ‘unconventional’ behind the handlebars- or steering wheel.
Knievel had long been battling severe health problems, but had just last week made peace with Kanye West over Ye’s use of his likeness in a video for Touch the Sky. Services will be held in Knievel’s hometown of Butte, Montana on Monday, December 10th.
