Toyota’s Scion division has really struck gold with its tC model. Arguably the best looking out of the brand’s 3 offerings, the 2008 model is about to hit showrooms with more features and still a very reasonable sticker price. Style cues on the refreshed tC are subtle but noticeable and include blacked-out projector headlamps, new grill inserts, redesigned tail lamps, as well as shiny new interior bits and pieces. Inside, the stock Pioneer-brand stereo system has been beefed up with full iPod integration including full dash display and steering wheel controls. Navigation is also available as an option for the first time in the car’s history.
Pricing for a base model starts at $15K and increases with transmission choices and option packages- all slightly higher than 07 standards, but the new bells & whistles justify the slight rise in cost and keep the tC as one of the best compact buys on the market.
