We love a fully-customized truck equipped with stacks upon stacks of fresh rims, unique paint and crazy audio, but not everyone can afford to spring for all that in their whip—especially all at once. So it helps to start out with a rig that’s got some attitude straight from the factory. Luckily, Ram has a new truck that can help you out with that.
The new 2013 Ram Black Express takes the nicely-equipped Express model—which comes stock with 20-inch rims, dual chrome-tipped pipes and a 395 hp, 407 lb-ft Hemi 5.7 liter V8—and adds on all black everything. Black aluminum rims, black front grille and grille surround, black rear bumper, black badges, black finished headlamp bezels, black taillamp trim, and so forth. They’ve even stripped the badging off the sides for a cleaner look.
Like all Ram Express models, the Black Express comes in a choice of two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive, and a choice of regular, extended-cab and quad cab body styles, so odds are good you can find one to suit your needs. And with a starting price of $26,955—$1,100 more than the regular Ram express—the Ram Black Express offers a lot of style for not much green. We’ll have ours in extended cab, 4WD form with a 32-gallon gas tank, spray-in bedliner, air suspension, rear diff and a 3.92 rear axle ratio… [Shout-out to Ram!]
