Good news if you’re saving up for a king-of-the-world-sized luxury sport-utility vehicle—the all-new 2015 Cadillac Escalade will drop this fall, before going on sale early next year.
The news comes fresh from Car and Driver, who heard it directly from Cadillac. A fall reveal means the 2015 Cadillac Escalade could drop at the Los Angeles Auto Show this fall—a good spot for it, in our opinion, since that’ll give the local car guys a head start in coming up with ways to outfit the new Esco with that California style.
The new 2015 Cadillac Escalade will, as you’d expect, be based on the same platform as the new Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra. Expect a powerful new small-block V8 (likely the 6.2 liter one from the new GMC Sierra Denali) making at least 420 horses and 450 lb-ft of torque, along with fresh new style (the image above is an artist’s impression from a few years back—we expect the real 2015 Escalade to be blockier and more boss than that) and an interior that ups Cadillac’s luxury game to proper BMW levels. Man, we can’t wait to lay our hands on this thing! [Shout-out to Car and Driver!]
