In the truck scene, the Chevrolet Silverado is one of the hottest choices around—even though it’s getting long in the tooth. (It’s had a few styling changes here and there, but the basic GMT900 chassis dates back to 2006.) So we’re guessing the all-new 2014 Silverado is gonna be one popular ride once it arrives. Chevy’s kept it tightly under wraps, but the’ve finally told us that they’ll reveal it on December 13th…and as a bonus, they’ve dropped the teaser image you see above.
As you can see, based on that little glimpse of the front end, the new Silverado will probably be a bit more butch than the outgoing truck. Don’t be surprised to see a few more teasers drop in the next month and a half, as Chevy’ll likely milk this for all it’s worth. As for what else to expect from the new truck, Chevy is keeping their lips pretty sealed, but there’ll definitely be a version of Chevy’s all-new small block V8 under the hood. We’re guessing there might be a turbocharged V6 option (just like Ford offers in the F-150), and we’re also betting the new Sil;verado will be a good few hundred pounds lighter than the outgoing truck, thanks to fuel economy-inspired weight savings measures. We’ll know on December 13th. [Shout-out to Chevy!]
