There’s a new hip-hop scene on the rise. Southern Indie rappers are rising fast and signin’ deals with major record labels, which is becoming a popular trend across the country. Peep Chief Keef, for example. His hit “I Don’t Like” is flooding radios and TVs everywhere, especially ’cause there are remixes of that song by just about everyone including Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, and many more. Another up-and-coming spitta is Trinidad James, seen here. These bars are turnin’ the Dirty South into the Golden South – bringin’ gold back. But there’s more to this music video than new-age hip-hop, just take a closer look.
Notice the blue Donk on blue wheels (0:59 – 1:02). Remember the Dec/Jan 2011 issue of RIDES Magazine? Well there was a sick Donk on pages 134-138, a 1971 Chevrolet Caprice sittin’ on 26-inch Davin Pearl wheels to be more specific, so check it out. You can also check it out here. Look familiar? This whip from RIDES is the one you see Trinidad James hoppin’ out of in this video!
And don’t miss out on that black Second Generation Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme ‘vert!
Tell us what you think of this video and what you think of Trinidad James!
[Shout-out to the new Trinidad James mixtape Don't Be S.A.F.E.!]
