Antera

by Damien Scott

Like a freshly tailored Brioni suit, an Aston Martin is sure to turn a few chickens’ heads (worked like a charm for Mr. Bond). However, if your shoe game is weak, the girlies will surely flock in the other direction. And just as you would cop a sleek and sporty pair of Ferragamos to match your fine Italian garment, you’re gonna need a wheel to match your elegant but fierce Euro whip. The Antera 365 is that shoe.

“[Antera] is geared towards both fashion and function,” says Uvaldo Delariva, Brand Manager for Antera. “Their prices have put them in a totally different league—a very exclusive level for very targeted applications.”

Very targeted, indeed. With applications made only for a select few European companies (BMW, Mercedes, Aston and Bentley) and prices starting at $1,790 per wheel, it’s clear that the featherweight (it ranges from 21 to 25 pounds) 365—which comes in either full chrome or a slick diamond-cut anthracite—is not made for the masses.

“They’re more based out of the European tastes and flavor than your ‘Fast and Furious’ or your ‘bling bling’ that exist here in this market,” admits Uvaldo. “A lot of people like fat, big wheels and a lot of chrome. And we’re not all about fat and chrome.” Grow up or get left.
