Who got next to spin the rim? MHT Wheels does with their Dub Esinem floater.Available in 22s, 24s and 26s with either a chrome or black face, the Esinem Floater is a head-turner for real. Sure, at first glance it may look like just another spinner, but don’t let the smooth look fool ya. They don’t spin; they, um, “float” like a fresh bar of Ivory soap in a big tub of bath water. Well, sort of. You remember Sir Isaac Newton’s first law of motion: Objects at rest tend to stay at rest while objects in motion tend to stay in motion until acted upon by force. Well, forget that. Scott Baker, the inventor of the floater, created a wheel that looks like it doesn’t even rotate while the tire and the car itself are in full motion, thus creating the illusion of floating. Still can’t picture it? Okay: Imagine a shiny black 2005 Cadillac ESV fitted with 26-inch chrome Dub Esinem floaters whizzing past you at about 700 miles per hour. Now, pay close attention to the wheel center. Instead of spinning around and around, it’s just sitting there. The wheel center looks like it’s floating in the middle of the tire. Now picture the ESV slowing down. That wheel center is still floating. Crazy hot, right?
