HipnoticPHOTOGRAPHY BY Adrian Mueller You can’t be the candle guy if dude down the street is rocking the same wares as you, no matter what. So when it comes time to choose the wheels for your ride, pick something that’ll easily allow you to stand out from the crowd and keep you at least four feet ahead of the Joneses. The new Hipnotic C-Note should do just that. Conceived by Hipnotic head designer Eric Aydin while flying back from vacation in June of ’06, the C-Note allows you to mix ‘n’ match several sets of removable spoke plates made to coordinate with your ride. “You’re getting something that not everyone’s going to have, something unique,” Aydin explains. “And plus, in a few years, instead of buying a new wheel, you can do something different with the plates.” The C-Note’s name might make it sound expensive, but Hipnotic is actually targeting its cheapest market yet by adding its first 18-incher. Starting at $550 per wheel, Hipnotic hopes to cater to the sport compact dudes. We’ll have to wait and see whether the tuner crowd clamors for the C-Note, but with everyone looking for the greatest and latest, the C-Note seems like money in the bank. Damien Scott
