In case you’re not up on Winky Wright, he’s the most avoided boxer of his era.

His elusive southpaw style had big name fighters like Oscar De La Hoya and Felix Trinidad ducking out on him, cheating him on the big money he deserved. In March, Winky finally got the opportunity to prove himself to the world against Sugar Shane Moseley. He whooped Shane’s ass, collected his first $1,000,000 purse, and became the undisputed junior middleweight champion of the world in the process. In November, he’ll earn $5,000,000 for the rematch.

This past spring, Winky opened his own car shop, Street Dreams Automotive Accessories, in Hempstead, Long Island. “I don’t like to keep all my eggs in one basket,” the slick boxer-turned-entrepreneur explains. “You saw what happened to Roy [Jones Jr.]—one punch could end it all, so you have to invest your money in other things.”
