DJ Skribble may be America’s most recognizable DJ.

From his steady presence on MTV behind Carson Daly a few years back, to his cameo in Britney Spears’ “I’m a Slave 4 U” video, to his current four-nights-a-week gig spinning hip-hop and techno from Cancun to Vegas, Skribble has come a long way since his days as a honky rap footnote DJing for the ill-named all-white rap group Young Black Teenagers.

But now Skribble’s gone from TRL to pimpin’ rides, having opened Skribble’s Auto Spa in his native Queens last spring.

“Besides music, cars have always been my passion,” he explains. “They’ve just always gone together. Like, when I get done with a track in the studio, the first thing I do is take it out and drive around to see what it sounds like in a car.”
