Luxury Toys keeps the out-of-town players in the game when visiting L.A.

Dilemma: You’re a man with an elastic wallet who has just arrived in Cali. You need to get around, but the Buick Rendezvous at Avis won’t get you where you need to go in baby-ass-soft leather comfort. Don’t blow a gasket. Vinnie (who’s last name is a mystery), from Luxury Toys Inc. has playthings that will drive you nuts.

Started in the ’90s as a company that placed cars in films such as 1994’s Terminal Velocity, Luxury Toys has transformed into the rent-a-car company of choice for the fabulous. “The most popular [rentals] right now are the Mercedes-Benz S550 sedan and the Bentley Continental Flying Spur,” says 30-something-year-old Vinnie, whose clients include Usher, Bow Wow and Mary J. Blige.

Now, put down the phone book. Vinnie is reachable by referral only until the end of the year, when a pending merger with the big boy renters will let the unconnected access these dream whips. Be prepared though. A car from his fleet could set you back anywhere from $150 to $5000 a day. To be lux costs bucks!
