Still Bumpin’

by Adell Henderson

Lil Fizz’s career came to a screeching halt after the B2K breakup, but his need for the fast life remains.

If you just happen to see Dreux Pierre Frederic, aka Lil Fizz, rolling his BMW 645 through the streets of Los Angeles, it’s likely the only “Bump, Bump, Bump” you’ll hear beating out of the trunk will be something off his upcoming solo project. Far removed from his boy band days with R&B quintet B2K the 19-year-old MC is preparing to spit hot fire (stand down Dylan) with his debut album Pay Day which will be released on Cudda Love’s Fo’ Reel Entertainment. Although the young, rich and famous lady’s man has been able to cop many whips at an early age, a track off his album, titled “645,” lets you in on which ride gets the most bump for his buck.

If I had to guess I’d say you are a speed dude who only rocks fast sleds. Am I correct?
The only car I had that wasn’t fast was my Range Rover. Other than that I had all two-doors. The M3, the 645, the Maserati, and the CL55. I also had a Gallardo but it was a stick and I couldn’t drive it so I had to send it back. When I ordered it I thought it was an automatic.

Which one have you pushed the most on the open road?
The CL55. The first time I opened that bad boy up was actually coming from a Beyoncé concert. A friend of mine called me and said Cudda wanted to meet me. I floored it all the way from the concert, ‘cause where he wanted me to meet him at was damn near an hour away—I was flying. I got there in 30 minutes.
