Michael Dwayne Vick has got it good.Let’s, for a second, forget that the 24-year-old Atlanta Falcon is the biggest star in the NFL and the most marketable sports name in A-Town since Dominique stopped making human highlight films. The man has got some serious whips. We’re not talking about the whiplash that opposing defensive linemen got from watching the dazzling quarterback juke, jive and jostle leather javelins for over 3,700 total yards in his breakout 2002 Pro Bowl season; we’re talking about his automobiles: there’s the dark green 2004 Range Rover; the black 2004 BMW 745 Li; and the Hemi-powered Chrysler 300C. Explaining why his rides stay nice and slow:“I didn’t get the sporty car yet ‘cause it ain’t time for it. Even though I like cars with speed, fast driving ain’t my thing. I like to ride and cruise and chill. I like to get the luxury cars and not so much the sporty cars. Fast driving don’t bring nuthin’ but accidents and tickets.” Revealing what his dream car used to be:“I envisioned my first car being a Lincoln Navigator. That’s all I wanted. I had seen the big trucks of all the guys who had gone to the NFL before me who I played with. They were copping big body trucks like the Expedition, the Suburban or the Navigator. I felt like the Navigator was the flyest, so I got one.” On how keeping your car game up-to-date is crucial:“If you got the paper, you got to get the hottest thing out. It can’t be 2004 and you’re still pushin’ a 2001 or 2002. You gotta keep up. That ain’t my whole objective, but I just do it anyway.”
