Bubba sparxxx may have been built ford tough, but stays heavy in a chevy when west coasting… by Keith Murphy Bubba Sparxxx has jokes. The self proclaimed “country boy” is musing on the official car of his 30,000 strong hometown, LaGrange, Georgia. Forget the Ferrari 599 GTB or the Jaguar XK, Bubba’s folks back home go for less bossy wheels. “Where I’m from, it’s all about Ford pickup trucks,” he laughs with unabashed pride. “When you break it down, Ford stands for a couple of things: Found On Road Dead or First On Race Day.” Of course, that doesn’t mean the stout MC hasn’t got an eye for the finer whips in life. Bubba can offer a glowing testimony of the latest BMW 7 Series, as well as a ’68 Chevy. The man once touted as the Southern answer to Eminem has come a long way. After pairing up with legendary producer Timbaland on his cartoonish ’01 debut, Dark Days, Bright Nights, and releasing his somber, but critically acclaimed [’03] follow-up Deliverance, Mr. Sparxxx threw what amounted to a crafty curve ball. He came back with a national anthem for strip clubs worldwide, “Ms. New Booty.” The boisterous first single from his current album, The Charm. Now he just has to decide what whip to spend the royalties on…
