Contrary to popular belief, there is a Detroit native with more hits than Marshall Mathers.

James “Lights Out” Toney—a product of the same Motown streets that produced Joe Louis and Thomas “Hitman” Hearns—has introduced 43 heads to various boxing canvases. But even harder hitting than Toney’s relentless punching is his fleet of 24 automobiles. “I like a car for every day of the week,” says the cruiserweight champ and aspiring heavyweight who was voted the 2003 Fighter of the Year by The Ring magazine. Apparently, Toney lives 24-day weeks.

Revealing which of his rides attracts the most females:

That Ferrari Modena, because everybody loves speed. I get it up to like 140-145 miles an hour, and it’s red. You know, women love that red. The BMW is pretty smooth, too. It’s got a lot of gadgets in there that I haven’t even figured out yet.”

On if his severe ring aggression translates to road rage behind the wheel:

“Every day. People drive all slow, talk on the phone, don’t pay not attention to what the hell they are doing. One time back in Detroit I had to pull a gun on somebody because they gave me the finger and cut me off.”
